For the festival of Jazz and Sound I’ve made an interactive installation that was both in “de Vooruit” and “de Bijloke”. The installation consists of 2 giant loadspeakers of 600Watt, each having a unique voice they just talked to each other, one about jazz and the other about sound. There sentences were live taken from twitter.

Allong with Sdriblive I’ve helped making the website, everything promotional and a complete ticketing system for a brand new festival in Laarne, Belgium. The first edition was a big succes with 84 artists, 8000 people and 22.500 beers served.

For a interactive magazine I’ve setup an augmented reality application that you can use to see all the websites by just scanning the tag.

As a concept site I’ve made a demo of m12.be. The basic idea is that you are able to stream your own gallery trough the internet and people can browse trough live broadcasts of art.

During “LAB 2010″ I’ve showed the internet heartbeat in combination with an arduino and 22 TL-lamps. The lamps pulsated with the heartbeat of the internet, everything was hooked on the internet and live projected on the ground in front of the installation.

For a festival in Ghent I’ve made a SMS message service. People could sms “kunst” SPATIE “nummer kunstwerk” SPATIE “bedrag” to a special number 6033. Then the result was displayed live during the performance of Bart Peeters in a fullscreen flash container that was hooked up to a macbook and a wireless internet card to the 2 LED screens aside the stage.

m12.be is a place where young artists can create a portfolio and/or blog, it’s a social community that fills the gap between social media and portfoliowebsites. It will also cooperate with Collective12 that will select works and artists from the site for a monthly exhibition. Currently still in closed beta, the release is planned on 4 december 2009, stay tuned for the party + first exhibition @Ghent.

Big job at Group94 togheter with Mortierbrigade for Studio Brussel. A tribute to the king of pop; Michael Jackson, the concept is a giant online collaboration with all Jackson fans doning the longest moonwalk ever. I’m doing postproduction with Sdriblive. After 20 days we’re at 2,5 milion visitors and a FWA award. It was only hell of a ride, little sleep and lot’s, looot’s of video’s.

Brand new site design for a childern atelier in my hometown Kuurne, the childern come together every week to experiment with paint, sculpture, wool, pencils etc to express themself. Central concept are the childern, they make the atelier so I made a site that puts them in the spotlight.

Untiteled Water objects (also known as citizen water) is a coop with electrical gebius Sdriblive (aka Merlijn). It’s basicly a vegetable steamer bought at the recycle store for 5€. Merlijn disassembled the lower body and removed the electronic components leaving only the body. The upper shell he filled the holes leaving only very limited space for air or water to pass trough. The bottom receptors consistent of piezzo elements. The sound produced is amplified. Read more.
